Royal Jordanian Airlines (RJ) has been financially struggling for years - prior to 2017, yet some people have recently questioned why one of their managers is getting paid JD 11,000 per month.
An official paper obtained by Roya shows that the high-ranking employee’s salary was amended on 1 December, 2017.
Roya tried to reach RJ to authenticate the document, however, no one was available for comment.
The average salary in Amman is JD 468.24, according to Numbeo, which also claims that a family of four in the Jordanian capital needs just JD 1,707 to live on per month.
The reality is, many Jordanians depend on credit cards to survive until their next paycheck.
The question that presents itself is: if it costs JD 700 per month to keep one prisoner, how is a Jordanian expected to survive on an average salary of JD 473 per month?
