Israeli warplanes bombed several locations in center and southern Gaza city early on Sunday. No human casualties were reported but the attack had caused property damage, Wafa News Agency reported citing local sources.

Israeli F16 fighter jets hit targets in Zaytoun neighborhood and another location near Shuhadaa junction.

Also on Saturday, the Israeli artillery bombed a location to the east of the Gaza city leaving one Palestinian injured, the Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed.

Israeli Defense Forces justified the bombing as a response to finding an explosive device which had detonated on the Strip’s border with Israel on Saturday.

In a statement, the Israeli military spokesman held Hamas responsible for everything that happens in the Gaza Strip. The statement claimed the military "will continue to act with all means at its disposal in order to ensure the security of the citizens of Israel."
