Two Israeli soldiers were killed and two injured on Friday as a Palestinian rammed into a group of people in the Israeli settlement of Mevo Dothan in Jenin, northern West Bank; the driver was arrested on the spot.

Reacting to the incident, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem remarked that the attack marks 100 days since Trump had recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. "The Palestinian people are continuing the intifada … the protest against [Trump's] decision and the occupation is not just a wave of anger, but an ongoing matter until full liberation is achieved,” he added.

Islamic Jihad movement welcomed the operation as an act of self- defence and claimed actions “that target Israeli soldiers and settlers” are the right of the Palestinian people.
