The Ministry of Health has invited Jordanians over the age 60 who are not insured and are looking to benefit from the government’s new decision to include them in its free health insurance plan, to visit the Health Insurance Administration in the Ministry of Health (in their Governorate), in order to issue a health insurance card.

Hatem Al Azraei, spokesman for the ministry, said on Monday that issuing a card is essential for those looking to receive free medical treatment, in accordance with the health insurance system.

More than 18,500 non-insured senior citizens were issued cards since the government made the decision to include them in its health plan.

The Health Insurance Administration has also set up a website where citizens can apply for a card online.

In order to apply for the card, you will need a passport photo and your National ID card.
