A number of students and teachers at Anata Primary School in Jerusalem were injured on Monday, after Israeli forces fired tear gas at the building, Middle East Monitor (MEM) reported citing Quds Press.

According to Deputy Headmaster, Imad Eliyan, Israeli forces fired tear gas “suddenly” and without any justification at 11 a.m. local time, during the students’ break. A neighbouring school was also affected by the gas outbreak.

Eliyan who spoke to Quds Press said that most of the harm presented as breathing difficulties.

Israeli forces storm into schools in the occupied Palestinian territories on a regular basis and frequently arrest students.
