A Jordanian man has committed suicide by jumping off Abdoun Bridge in Amman on Thursday, according to police officials.

Eyewitnesses said that the man was killed immediately upon impact with the ground.

Police were called to the scene in southern Amman where the man's body was found lying under the bridge. They have launched an investigation into the incident.

The victim was in his twenties according to the police.
