Eleven Palestinians detained in Israeli raids

Eleven Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces on Tuesday, in overnight raids in the West Bank, Anadolu Agency reported.

The army reportedly claimed that the individuals were arrested for “suspected involvement in terrorist activities.”

In Silwad town, east of Ramallah, the Israeli army said a rifle was found and seized.

170 search and arrest operations were carried out in the West Bank between December 19 and January 1st, according to UN documentations.

According to Palestinian figures, around 6,400 Palestinians are currently residing in Israeli prisons, including women and minors.

At the end of November 2017, there were 313 Palestinian minors held in Israeli prisons as security detainees and prisoners, including 2 administrative detainees.
