A Filipina nanny was generously rewarded by her Emirati employer for her long-term service and loyalty this week.

Dina Tenerife Celo was thinking of buying a plot of land in her hometown in Camarines Sur, Philippines; what happened next was beyond her expectations.

Her employer, Melissa McPike, who got her UAE nationality after marrying an Emirati, gave Dina money to buy a piece of land and promised to fund her dream home in Camarines Sur, The Filipino Times (TFT) reported.

Dina started working for Melissa in Abu Dhabi in 1998. Her job was to take care of her employer’s two children, Saif and Saeed.

After Dina’s contract expired, she worked as a waitress and cashier in the same city. However, she stayed in close contact with her former employer.

In October, Melissa transferred the amount of $6,262 into Dina’s account, according to the TFT.

A Facebook post by Dina revealed that her employer sent her a further $3,267 for building materials last week.

Single mum Dina bought a plot of land and declared the property under the name of her 21-year-old son, Ryan.

Saeed, the little boy she once took care of, has now graduated from university and is going to visit her in the Philippines next week to help plan the house construction.
