The investigations of the Egyptian public prosecution have revealed Wednesday, the identity of a gang that targets high-class neighborhoods in the capital, Cairo, according to an Egyptian TV.

The members of the gang who are now under arrest, are of Jordanian nationality.

After interrogations, it turned out that the gang was able to rob 33 apartments and steal more than EGP 100 million (about JOD 4 million), with the help of an Egyptian man.

However, all it took was one pair of shoes for the gang to be caught.

The thief who left his shoes at the house he robbed, helped the police identify where he bought them from, and finally catch him along with the other members.

The general prosecution issued an order of detaining the criminals for four days before sending them to court.
