Electricity providers in the Kingdom distributed in the north, center and south, issued a state of emergency in the Kingdom as the weather witnesses depression during the weekend.

People are advised to to report deteriorations that occur in electricity currents.

Mohammed Suaifan, spokesperson of the Jordanian Electric Power, said that the company will be available in the field and ready to fix any damages 24/7 during the depression.

Suaifan added that the wind will probably affect networks and wires.

Electricity providers in the north, will use around 300 technicians to fix damages, Bashar al-tamimi, Deputy Director of Irbid District Electricity Company said.

Many networks were replaces in provinces like Ajloun, Jerash and Irbid, in order to avoid any damages and faults, al-Tamimi added.

It is worth noticing that Jordan will be affected by southwesterly winds starting Thursday, where temperatures will drop significantly and heavy rain showers are expected.
