A young Palestinian from Gaza died early Saturday of wounds sustained during clashes with Israeli soldiers the previous day before at the Gaza border with Israel, according to the Ministry of Health.

The 21-year-old man was shot in the stomach by a live bullet and was reported in critical condition since his arrival at hospital, until he was pronounced dead hours later.

According to the Palestinian ministry, at least 45 people were shot by live bullets during the Friday confrontations at the Gaza borders, including four who remain in critical condition.

In the West Bank, six people were shot by live ammunition, including one reported in critical conditions shot in the Hebron area. The man was among three others also shot by live bullets in Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, according to the ministry.

Another two were hit by live bullets in Ramallah and Nablus areas, and are reported in moderate condition.
Protests against U.S. President Trump’s decision, recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, continued in most areas of the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the fourth “Friday of rage” since the announcement, declared by the Palestinian nationalist and Islamic forces.

The Palestinian Red Crescent has said it treated 461 cases in the Palestinian areas on Friday, including 347 in the West Bank, along with 114 in the Gaza Strip.
