Official and popular protests continued on Jordan on Friday, condemning the decision of US President Donald Trump to transfer the embassy to occupied Jerusalem and recognize it as the Israeli capital.

Hundreds gathered in Amman, with many outside the US embassy in support of the Palestinian resistance, chanting slogan against the Israeli occupation and the US administration.

Along with the standard chants, performers sang and danced outside the embassy.



Mass demonstrations also took place across Jordan, in Zarqa, Aqaba, Irbid and Jerash, as protestors gathered in solidarity with Palestine.

Trump’s announcement, recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, sparked widespread protests took place across East Jerusalem, the West Bank, Gaza as well as the rest of the region and the world.
