According to the GreenMetric World University Ranking, Jordan’s Al-Balqa’ Applied University (BAU) has achieved outstanding success by ranking 1st locally, 6th regionally and came in the 193rd place globally.

In 2016, it ranked 5th locally, and came in the 234th place globally.

Dr. Abdullah Sroor Al-Zoubi, President of Al-Balqa’ Applied University, stated that this accomplishment was achieved by the efforts of the staff to further develop the university during the 2016/2017 academic year.

Dr. Al-Zoubi also pointed out the university's readiness to follow-up, modernize and develop the university in order to sustain this incredible progress and move higher up the world university rankings.
