The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND), the Jordanian Army, and the Military Police managed to prevent the smuggling of 120 thousand tramadol pills, last Tuesday.

According to a statement released by the Public Service Directorate (PSD), one suspect involved in the smuggling attempt was apprehended.

The statement went on to read that based on information received by AND officers regarding several persons plotting to smuggle large amounts of pills into the Kingdom’s northern borders.

The police followed up on the lead, gathering as much information as possible with the JAF and the Military police, eventually identifying the suspects, the location, and the time the smuggling attempt was taking place in.

The statement lauded the coordinated efforts between all participating parties, successfully ambushing the suspects and seizing 120 thousand tramadol pills, and arresting one of the suspects.

Further investigation in the case revealed the involvement of three others, who are still at large.
