Prayers for rain, istisqa’ prayers, were held in all mosques across the Kingdom after Friday prayer yesterday, as per the instructions of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

Imams urged worshipers to pray and fast in yesterday’s prayers.

The Awqaf Ministry had released a statement a few days ago urging Jordanians and mosques to hold istisqa’ prayers.

The istisqa’ prayer is a Sunnah prayer held in times of drought, asking Allah for rain.
