The State Security Court sentenced six suspects accused of supporting ISIS to varying sentences of hard labor, in a public session held by the court.

One of the suspects was a tawjihi, high school student, sentenced to two years of hard labor for attempting to join armed terrorist groups.

The suspect’s age and academic background were taken into account when the sentence was passed, after the suspect had asked for a more lenient sentence.

Another hearing also saw the sentencing of two siblings in their twenties standing accused of promoting terrorist ideals.
