King Abdullah met with Bahrain’s Monarch Hamad Bin Issa al Khalifa on Tuesday in Manama, a week after a blast tore through an oil pipeline in the Gulf state.

The two leaders discussed bilateral relations between their countries as well as the various crises across the Middle East, Petra News Agency reported.

King Abdullah stressed Jordan’s support for the security of Bahrain, which last week was hit by an explosion on one of its oil pipelines.

Bahrain has blamed Iran for Friday’s blast and accused it of terrorism, a charge that Tehran has rejected, calling the allegations “baseless and cheap”.

No one has claimed responsibility for the explosion and there were no injuries reported.
