You say potato, we say potAto: Whichever way you pronounce it, Jordan has plenty of it.

In fact, the Kingdom is self-sufficient in potatoes, producing more than 400 tonnes of high-quality spuds on a daily basis, according to the Minister of Agriculture, Khaled Huneifat.

The vegetable is grown in different parts of the country, including Karak, Tafilah, Shobak, al Qastal, Zeezya and Shuna Shamaliya.

More areas across the Kingdom will be used for growing potatoes this year, including El Quweira.
