Jordanian border guards confirmed on late Tuesday that five Israelis were caught while trying to cross the Israel-Jordan border from Wadi Arabah, between the Dead Sea and Aqaba Gulf.

The five Israelis reportedly crossed the border by mistake, before they were stopped and questioned by the borders guards and returned to the Israeli side, the Israeli website Ynet News said.

This is not the first time Israelis have mistakenly crossed the border into Jordan. Earlier in 2010, Israelis crossed by boat to Jordan, before the Jordanian Navy officers arrested them. They were released after few hours.
