A medical evacuation helicopter from the Jordanian Air Force transported an injured Jordanian national from Saudi Arabia by royal decree back home Friday.

Sameeh Nasir, the injured Jordanian, got in a car accident in Saudi, and was transported by royal decree to receive treatment in King Hussein Medical Center, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In a statement released by the Ministry, Jordan’s ambassador in Saudi Arabia, Ali Kayed Al Otoum, coordinated the transportation and evacuation of the Jordanian national with Saudi authorities.

The chopper departed Saudi Arabia with the patient at noon yesterday.

The Jordanian embassy later released a statement thanking all those who helped transport the patient, including the hospital where he was being treated, and the air force pilots who returned him home.
