On World Sight Day, Jordan’s Academy of the Blind have organized a march for a number of blind students, which they walked around the Amman citadel.

The blind marchers raised banners with slogans including, "We see Jordan with our hearts" and "We celebrate the International Day of the White Stick."

According to march organisers, the event aims to raise awareness about blind people in society.

World Sight Day is an annual day of awareness, aimed to to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment.
