Spokesperson of the Jordanian government Mohammad Momani condemned on Thursday the renewed Israeli violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque. The latest was groups of Israeli settlers and extremists invading the mosque for their religious holidays, which became a reason for such violations.

Al-Momani pointed out that such violations are totally unacceptable and irresponsible because they provoke Muslims’ feelings everywhere. Also, the Israeli occupation is violating the international and humanitarian agreements which call for respecting the holy sites.

Al-Momani also stressed out that such violations badly affect the relationships between the two countries, and control the efforts made to ease the stress between them, as well as to support the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.

Al-Momani called upon the Israeli government to stop these attacks immediately, and to respect the Jordanian role protecting the holy sites in Jerusalem according to the peace agreements between the two sides.
