The Jordanian army has foiled a drug-smuggling attempt across the border from Syria on Tuesday, according to an army source.

Eight people were trying to infiltrate into the Jordanian territory, before being caught between the Jordanian-Syrian border area.

Two smugglers were injured during the operation.
