65kgs of shawerma meat was confiscated from two Madaba restaurants and destroyed by the Madaba Health Directorate (MHD) after the meat was deemed to be unsuitable for human consumption.
The MHD claimed that the meat was spoiled as a result of improper storage, and it said that the owners of the restaurants were fined.
The MHD also added that it had confiscated and destroyed 40kgs of fish from a mall, with the entirety of the seafood section at the mall being closed down as a result of the violation.
