Seven and a half tonnes of spoiled chicken were seized and destroyed today by the Ma’an Directorate of Health, another victory in a long line of successes in local governments’ ceaseless efforts to guarantee that Jordanians receive quality foodstuffs.

Doctor Tayseer Kreishan, head of the Health Directorate, told Petra news agency today that the chicken was confiscated from a local Ma’an store, and was later destroyed.
