Jordanian golf and triathlon enthusiasts will turn their attention to Aqaba next month for what promises to be an eventful week, as Ayla will be hosting the Jordan Ayla Golf Championship and the Asia Triathlon.

Launching between the 5th and 7th of October under the patronage of HRH Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein, the two events will feature the participation of numerous countries worldwide.

With the participation of over 120 local and international players, the Jordan Ayla Golf Championship will take place as part of the 7th round of the MENA Golf Tour – one of the pioneering initiatives launched by the Shaikh Maktoum Golf Foundation. At the same time, Ayla will also be hosting the Asia Triathlon, which will garner players from more than 19 countries.

The Managing Director of Ayla, Sahl Dudin, highlighted the company’s pride at hosting the two major sporting events, which he believes will help shine the spotlight on Jordan and Aqaba.

The Jordan Ayla Golf Championship, noted Dudin, is an unprecedented event in Jordan’s history and the first major event to make use of the Ayla Golf Club since its launch. He noted that Ayla has leveraged on all its expertise and capabilities to ensure the successful launch of the tournament in a manner that meets the expectations of golf enthusiasts around the globe.

“Our primary objective in hosting the Jordan Ayla Golf Championship is to position Jordan as a premier golfing destination in the region, and we believe this tournament will shine the spotlight on Aqaba as a premier destination for tourism,” commented Dudin. “We also seek to demonstrate the capacity and readiness of Ayla to provide the infrastructure necessary for hosting such large-scale events.”

Commenting on the Asia Triathlon, Dudin noted that the pan-Asian event was organized under the supervision of the Jordan Triathlon Society, which clearly demonstrates the status of athleticism in the Kingdom and the readiness of Ayla to serve as a singular launchpad capable of hosting such events under the highest standards.

He further highlighted the crucial role Ayla plays in promoting Aqaba as a multidimensional seaside location and a premier destination for various types of tourism.
