Israeli forces carried out a raid in several areas in the Hebron district Friday night, detained two Palestinians and showered homes with tear gas, according to Maan news.

The house of Sami Abu Arqoub in the town of al-Samu, south of Hebron, was raided by Israeli forces before two of his sons were detained.

Abu Arqoub told Ma’an that Israeli forces detained his two sons Nisar, 19, and Basel, 22.

The soldiers also confiscated jewelry, three computers, and 20,000 shekels ($5,680).

According to an official Palestinian Authority (PA), Israeli forces fired tear gas in the area of al-Hareeqa at civilian homes, causing dozens to suffocate.

With a biweekly average of 85 search and detention raids, Israeli raids in Palestinian towns are a daily occurrence in the West Bank, according to UN documentation.
