Study: 11% of Jordanians have Syrian in-laws

A study, titled “Syrian Refugees and Jordanians: Perceptions and Trends”, showed that a majority of Jordanian and Syrian surveyees always felt safe in their areas of residence during the day, with 82% of Jordanians and 88% of Syrians answering positively.

Performed by the Centre for Strategic Studies at University of Jordan, the study provides various insights and statistics about Syrian presence in Jordan.

According to “Perceptions and Trends”, 83% of Syrians said they had Syrian relatives living in Jordan, and 11% of Jordanians said that they have Syrian inlaws. 90% of those said that marrying into Syrian families happened before the Syrian war broke out in 2011.
