Female Palestinian and Jordanian authors dominate writing competition


Palestinian writer, Maisa Dweikat won the first place in the Arabic Literary competition while Jordanian Ghada Aqel won the second, and Palestinian Farah Awadeh won the third.

The competition launched last month by Lucky ٍSaidaty website for female entrepreneurs as a platform for Arab female writers, with more than a hundred writers from different parts of the Arab World.

Saffia Al Tarteer, Arab entrepreneur and founder of Lucky Saidaty praised the amount of interest she felt throughout the participation of the writers in different topics.

“Women from all over the Arab world participated in the competition, which would make anyone proud to see that Arab women are interested in writing and publishing,” Al Tarteer added.

According to al-Tarteer, the website was founded to provide opportunities for Arab women through three platforms, one of which is a platform for business entrepreneurs to share experiences and communicate.

Another is a platform is for women to provide services in each her own in her field, and finally a platform for writers where women are being encouraged to write and publish.

The website also contains an open shop where Arab women can open their own shop.

Awadeh urges all female Arab authors to continue writing and to not be afraid of publishing their texts.
