Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow" has been making waves recently, topping charts at #2 on the Billboard 100, with a whopping 135 million views on YouTube.

Cardi's music video shows the Bronx native exuding in opulence in a city that is everything but subtle: Dubai.

In light of Cardi B's hugely succesful debut in Dubai, we compiled a list of "western" music videos filmed in the Arab world, showcasing our rich cultural and historical diversity:

1. Cardi B - Bodak Yellow (Dubai, UAE)

Of course, a couple honorable mentions need to be made. Although these music videos weren't filmed in this part of the world, they do represent a rich part of our culture and issues:

15. Michael Jackson - Remember the Time (Ancient Egypt)

16. M.I.A. - Borders (Migrant Crisis in the Mediterranean and Southeast Asia)

Katy Perry's 'Dark Horse' is worth a mention, but not an honorable one (we don't condone cultural appropriation).
