The Uthman bin Affan Qur’an Learning Center was shut down this morning as per the instructions of Ma’an Mayor Husni Al Qudah.

Al Qudah said that the teachers and the center were unlicensed, and that the center had committed legal and educational violations.

The Mayor said that the school did not abide by the curricula and the philosophy of the Ministry of Education, which necessitated its closure.

The Awqaf Department in Ma’an also said that the center was not licensed by the Ministry of Awqaf.
