Israeli forces early Tuesday morning raided the centre of the city of Ramallah in the West Bank, leading to violent confrontations with dozens of Palestinian youths.
Witnesses said that the military patrols and troop carriers who stormed the city centre were confronted by scores of youths throwing stones at them.
The troops were headed towards the Al-Am'ari Refugee Camp, where they fired stun grenades and rubber-coated metal bullets, injuring a young boy.
Witnesses added that Israeli soldiers raided five homes inside the camp and blew up some of their doors.
The soldiers searched and vandalised the properties, tampered with their contents, interrogated the families in a patronizing manner and arrested a young man called Yahya Rummaneh, according to the same witnesses.
