Somali-American Hijabi model Halima Aden has been making waves recently, after being featured in Rihanna's long-anticipated Fenty Beauty cosmetics line, which focuses on celebrating diversity.

The line aims to represent women of all skin tones, particularly darker-skinned women which find it difficult to find makeup for darker shades of skin. The line also celebrates more plus-sized women, which also have little representation in marketing campaigns for beauty products.

Aden was born in a refugee camp in Kenya, and at the age of six moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota. She was the first hijab-wearing model to walk international runways and sign with a major modeling agency - IMG models, as well as grace the covers of Vogue Arabia and Allure.
