Jordan and Romania have discusses plans to increase Jordanian industrial exports to the East European country.

Members of the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) Board discussed the trade plans with Romanian Ambassador to Jordan, Nicolae Comanescu, on Sunday, Petra news agency reported.

According to a statement by the ACI, Jordan's exports to Romania stood at a mere $6 million last year, while imports from Romania amounted to $590 million.

The Romanian ambassador voiced his country's desire to enhance economic cooperation with the kingdom and combat any obstacles affecting this, including entry visas to businessmen and industrialists.

Members of the ACI board who attended the meeting voiced plans to send a Jordanian economic delegation to Romania as a means to promote Jordanian industrial products.

They added that the ACI was prepared to host Romanian trade delegations to acquaint them with Jordanian industrial products.
