Several incidents of violence at polling stations across the Kingdom

An attack was conducted on several polling stations in Central Badia by unknown assailants.

According to Ammon News, members of the Independent Election Commission were attacked at the Queen Rania School in Mawkar. A Commission official was held captive in a locked room, with four ballot boxes broken.

It is unkown if the incidents are connected.

There was also a death inside a polling station at Iraq al Amir, according to Ammon News. It is said that the voter died of natural causes. 

"As IEC, and as a nation, one drop of blood is worth the whole nation," says Jihad Momani, IEC spokesperson for the elections.

In light of recent incidents, the Election Committee will be meeting to discuss appropriate action.
