Candidates running for the municipal and decentralization elections were ordered to bring their campaigning to a halt starting 7am Monday, according to the Independent Election Commission of Jordan.
Visual, audio and written campaigning fall under the type of campaigning candidates have been warned to stop, specifically on voting day.
Voters will be able to cast their votes on Tuesday from 8:30am until 8pm (local time).
Whether voter turnout will be an impressive one remains uncertain for the moment.
