Jordan is the 9th safest country in the world according to the 2017 Gallup’s Law and Order index.

Jordan made it to the top ten countries in the list where the population feels safe, with a score of 89 out of 100. In 2016, Jordan had scored 85 in the index.

The Gallup Index is a self-described “worldwide measure that reveals how safe -- or insecure -- people feel in their neighborhood and how confident they are in their local police.”

In the MENA region, Jordan was only topped by Algeria, which scored 7th on the index, meanwhile, Singapore reigned as first with a score of 97 points.
