The police force that raided and surrounded a house in Ma’an in search of the man suspected of attacking a police patrol in Ma’an earlier this week, and killing policeman Ja’far Al Rabab’a, has pulled out of the southern city on Tuesday night.
A security source said that the police force gradually withdrew from Ma’an after extensively sweep searching the area surrounding the suspect’s home.
The suspect, who has also critically injured another police officer in the attack, is still on the run.
The 21-year-old fugitive has been arrested more than once in the past, and has 11 offences in his criminal record for crimes ranging from shooting firearms, assault on employees, and attempted murder.
