Ayman Al Safadi, Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, and his Algerian counterpart set a date for this year’s 7th annual Joint Jordanian-Algerian Committee in the Algerian capital of Algiers.

Prior to this year, the Committee had last convened in 2006.

The two ministers said that the two countries are seeking to improve bilateral and economic ties and in order to better cooperation in the private sectors of the two countries, with many prospects of improving cooperation commercial, investment, cultural and touristic fields being available.

They discussed the latest developments in the region, especially in regards to the Syrian crisis and Libya, as well as efforts in countering terrorism and radicalism.

The two ministers stressed the importance of the Palestinian cause, and that of the two-state solution, and that peaceful solutions must be found for the region’s crises.
