The Attorney General assigned to the investigation of a fatal and horrific car accident between a Gendarmerie vehicle and a civilian vehicle which resulted in the death of a civilian yesterday issued an arrest warrant for the person responsible for the accident until investigations are over.

Once investigations are over, the case will be transmitted to the Traffic Court, said a Public Security Directorate source.

The same source confirmed that the Gendarmerie are responsible for enforcing the law and providing security to civilians, and no violations of laws will be tolerated, not even from its own personnel.

The General Directorate of Gendarmerie offered its condolences to the family of the victim.
