Jordanian media figure Amjad Tadros nominated for two Emmy Awards

Jordanian media figure Amjad Tadros has been nominated in the International Emmy Awards for Best News and Documentary Programs for two of his 60 minute programmes for US television network CBS.

The commission nominated an interview with Jordan’s King Abdullah II for the 60 Minutes program as the best television interview of last year, as well as a report on the Syria’s Civil Defense, the White Helmets, both of which Tadros worked on as a producer.

Tadros, who has worked for CBS as a Middle East field producer since 1990 and covered a number of imporant events in the Middle East.

During his 27-year career, Tadros has won numerous international awards, such as the Emmy and the Do-Bond Awards.

Last year, he was awarded the Emmy along with his 60 Minutes team for investigating the horrific story of the 2013 sarin gas attack in Syria’s Ghoutha that US intelligence estimates killed more than 1,400 civilians.
