Jordanians took to the streets near the Israeli Embassy in Amman after Friday prayers in protest of Israeli violations in Al Aqsa Mosque and in solidarity with the people of Palestine.

The march took off from the Kalouti Mosque near the Embassy, with demonstrators chanting for the cancellation of the Jordanian-Israeli peace treaty and the cessation of diplomatic relationships with Israel.

They expressed their solidarity with the people of Jerusalem and the Palestinians in light of the violations being committed by Israeli forces in Jerusalem.

The protesters also called for the Jordanian government to take action against the Israeli Embassy incident.

The Israeli Embassy was the site of an alleged attack carried out by a Jordanian youth against its staff last Sunday which led to the death of alleged attacker and another Jordanian national at the hands of an Israeli guard.

The entire staff of the Embassy left the Jordan the following day, and Jordanians have been calling for the Israeli guard to be put on trial since.

This comes after Israeli forces broke into Al Aqsa Mosque last night, where they’ve arrested 120 worshipers as well as having injured dozens with rubber-coated bullets and sonic grenades.
