Ayman Al Safadi, Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, demanded Netanyahu not to use one-sided measures to arrogantly increase his popularity, otherwise he would be gambling with it at the expense of neighboring countries and driving the region into a new crisis.

At a press conference at the end of the emergency session of Arab ministers of exterior which Jordan had called for, Safadi stressed that Jordan strives for an Arab peace, and that Israel must commit to its historic and legal responsibilities to Jerusalem.

The Jordanian Minister asked the international community to shoulder the responsibility to help prevent the region from plunging into a new crisis, stressing that security only comes with guaranteeing the rights of the Palestinians.

Safadi said that the recent escalation and the violations at Al Aqsa and other holy places only serve to provoke the Muslim word.
