Shots have reportedly been fired at the Israeli embassy in Amman, leaving a Jordanian dead and an Israeli employee at the embassy severely injured.

The Israeli man was reportedly stabbed in the torso, while a 17-year-old Jordanian was shot twice inside the Israeli Embassy in Al Rabiya area, Sunday evening, according to local media.

Reports say the incident occurred after a fight broke out between a Jordanian and an Israeli national. The Israeli national was transferred to the Arab Medical Center in Amman.

The Minister of Interior Ghaleb Zu'bi was at the Embassy after the incident to inspect the scene, while security forces closed off the area entirely, according to a security source.
