An ancient Roman cemetery containing 11 graves has been discovered during water works in the North Jordanian town of Beit Ras, Irbid, the Irbid Department of Antiquities announced Wednesday.

Department Director, Mousa Malkawi explained that the cemetery was empty, aside from vases and lanterns, Petra reports.

Four months prior, the Department uncovered another empty Roman cemetery in the same town.
