A number of Jordanian MPs were dismayed on Sunday by the Jordanian Parliament’s decision to reject a list of their suggestions.

MP Awwad Al Zawaydeh was particularly unnerved during the House of Representatives’ evening session dedicated to discussing and approving amended laws on the Judiciary system.

“Why should we bother making any suggestions when none of them are going to be approved?,” Al Zawaydeh said.

On Tuesday, the House of Representatives passed four amended bills in a hearing that lasted three hours.

Another bill was deferred to a legal committee amid popular discontent by MPs who said Parliament was making rash decisions without much consideration or thought.
