Jordan holds the men and women who sacrifice their lives for their country in high regard, which is why the General Directorate of Jordan Civil Defence (JDC) announced on Sunday that the direct families of those who died while protecting Jordanian civilians will be receiving gratuity in honor of their late siblings, children and parents.

Those eligible for the gratuity were requested to visit their local Civil Defence Directorates on Monday morning, where they would be able to collect their gift. In order to prove eligibility, they must provide their Family Book, national ID, and guardianship/custodian papers where applicable.

The generous gesture comes in celebration of 101 years since the declaration of the Great Arab Revolt, which was announced on June 5 1916.
