Jordan’s Prime Minister has promised that the Kingdom won’t be leaving a paper trail behind in 2018. The government will be adopting a more green approach by turning digital.

In the new year, citizens will be able to complete some of their official paperwork online, including renewing certain types of licenses and paying traffic fines.

This new paper-less strategy will look revolutionary for a part of the world where heavy administrative structures and stamping is the norm. Arab countries rely on organizational systems, administrative red-tape and bureaucratic regulations that may be lagging with the modern modes of their citizens.

PM Hani al Mulki’s environmentally-friendly strategy will reduce Jordan’s carbon footprint, while minimising overcrowding during governmental institutions’ peak hours.
