The Jordanian government has just made life easier for thousands of citizens living abroad.
Jordanians overseas will no longer need to wait weeks for a new copy of their passport, according to a recent announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Jordanians will now be able to renew their passports within five working days, and replace damaged or lost copies within ten working days.
While Jordanian embassies have streamlined the application process, the new “express” service is only available in the 25 countries who own passport-issuing printers. However, diplomatic priority will be given to applicants who do not live in those countries.
