  • Two air force soldiers detained for about a month
  • Suspected of passing sensitive information to Iran
  • Investigation points to possible wider espionage network

‘Israeli’ authorities are investigating a serious security breach within the air force, where two active-duty soldiers have been detained for nearly a month on suspicion of spying for Iranian intelligence.

According to reports, the case is being handled by the Shin Bet and police, with investigators suspecting the involvement of a broader network rather than an isolated incident. Additional soldiers, including some from sensitive units such as air defense, were reportedly questioned or detained earlier in the probe.

The suspects are believed to have maintained contact with Iranian operatives over a period of time while serving, allegedly using their positions to pass on information related to military systems, locations, and senior personnel.

An indictment is expected in the coming days and may include severe charges such as "aiding the enemy during wartime."

A senior air force official was cited as warning that multiple espionage cases may exist within the force, adding that strict measures will be taken in response.
